‘CanKids…KidsCan’ is an organization that works towards providing best standards of treatment care and support services for children with cancer and their families from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and after into survivorship on the one hand and palliative care, terminal and bereavement support on the other. The organization aims to provide holistic support to families of children with cancer under its signature model, the YANA – You are not Alone Program that is delivered through CanKids Hospital Support Units and CanKids Care Centres, at hospitals where children and being treated for cancer. Hardships in life make one realize who truly supports them and CanKids was my biggest support during my battle with cancer. This organization gave me hope and courage to get through my disease, and an opportunity to help others who are going through the similar struggle I went through. I am running for CanKids and all its children fighting cancer and I appeal to you, to help CanKids to achieve their goal and be the hope for all those children, just like it was for me.
