This year, FPA India is looking forward to mobilise low-cost, affordable sanitary napkins for young girls from underprivileged backgrounds. As you may be aware, many girls remain absent from school during their periods, for 20% of the year, which is the second major reason after household work, for girls to miss school. Moreover, 27% of girls have no access to menstrual hygiene products in school. By participating in the Tata Mumbai Marathon, 2018, FPA India aims to run for the ''Let’s get girls back to school'' campaign under the #RUN4FP theme.
FPA India works in 18 states of India, helping people to achieve their Sexual and Reproductive Rights. We work primarily with the most poor and vulnerable people, reaching out to over 3 million people annually. We have seen lives blooming and developing positively with simple interventions like access to contraceptive methods, fertility advice and counselling.
We would like to appeal you to support our RUN4FP. Please donate generously so that we can support many Indian young girls to attend school and complete their secondary school education.
Your contribution of INR 1080/- for one girl can:
• Free her from anemia completely
• Provide sanitary napkins for a full year
• Empower her with critical life skills
How many girls would you like to support?
