India is home to the worlds largest population of HIV+ orphans. Unfortunately, the number continues to rise.
Naz India opened its arms to HIV-positive orphans to create a care home in 2001. The Care Home was founded on the belief that all children have a fundamental right to a loving, fun-filled childhood with access to health, education, and a safe, stigma-free environment, focusing on their overall development. Naz India has given these children a lifetime commitment and provides for their educational, nutritional, medical, and recreational as well as psychosocial needs. The National AIDS controlled Organisation (NACO) had designated the Naz Care Home as a Community Care Centre for Children in 2009.
