Dear friends, In India, over 20% of girls drop out of school upon reaching puberty. Far larger percentages start missing school during their periods because they do not have access to something as basic as Sanitary Napkins; and hence they subsequently drop out. Thus ends their education and exposure to the outer world. FPA India is running the TATA Mumbai Marathon, 2018, in order to raise funds for a campaign called 'Let's get girls back to school'. Being a part of FPA India, we intend to raise funds in order to provide low-cost sanitary napkins for young girls from underprivileged backgrounds, so that they can successfully complete their education become empowered individuals.
