Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024
Bal Asha Trust runs a small orphanage in Mumbai where they take in abandoned infants and young children. They successfully place children for adoption across the world and also pay for medical procedures in the case of physical handicaps. It is run by a passionate team of people, headed by Sunil Arora, who's only visible fault is that he hasn't started running himself :-).
Smile Foundation provides education to street kids and children from poor backgrounds.
Vatsalya, right across from Bal Asha Trust at the King George V Memorial Hospital in Mahalaxmi, is an orphanage for boys from six on up. The kids have an amazing amount of energy and interact regularly with children from better placed schools in Mumbai.
All of these charities are very worthy causes, please feel free to support as many as your budget allows!
I'm hoping to end somewhere between 2.05 and 2.10.
About Me
This will be my sixth Mumbai Half Marathon. I'm nervous ahead of the race, unsure of whether I've done enough to prepare well, but also excited to be running along thousands of fellow runners. It's a big open air bazaar with thousands of people along the way, cheering us on.
I use the half marathon to raise funds for causes that are close to my heart and for NGOs that I know do consistently good work. All donations get routed directly to them.
