This is my 4th year of raising pledges for Concern India Foundation. When I started at 12, I was not very sure of the response that I would get, so I was thrilled when people came forward and supported my run promptly and enthusiastically. Thanks to them, each year, I raised almost Rs. 3 lakhs for the education of underprivileged children and it felt amazing! Witnessing the energy of the Marathon and the spirit of Mumbai on that day gave me an adrenalin rush and now that I just turned 15 , I am super excited to be eligible to run in the 10 km race category.
As I did last year, I hope to once again raise funds for kids not as fortunate as me as I beleive that education has the ability to change the life of every kid, whatever his or her background. I study at the Cathedral & John Connon School and I am blessed with the best quality education. While some of us take our schooling for granted, there are others who crave and struggle to get it. I believe that if I help Concern to educate other children, I will be doing my tiny bit for the future of our country. While I am aware that I am reaching out to many of the same people who supported me last year, I do hope that you will look at donating again towards my run. And for those of you whom I am approaching for the first time, I do hope you will support me.Thank you all for your overwhelming encouragement – it makes my run so much more fun!
