Yes, 35 million is a vast number & that is the primary reason we need to take care of homeless dogs by getting them sterilized with the help of animal birth control programs. We at Kalote Animal Trust do mass sterilization camps to reduce the street​ dog population through humane, practical methods and eradicate rabies in and around Kalote Mokashi (outskirts of Mumbai), Khopoli, Karjat, and other neighboring areas. Kalote Animal Trust is also home to over 600 resident animals who have been either abandoned by their owner or rescued. At Kalote Animal Trust, dogs, cats, cows, buffalos, goats, pigs, sheep, donkeys, horses, and a variety of birds have found a loving shelter.
