Dear Friends, I am very thankful to you for the support I have been receiving from you for the last nine years in raising funds for Karunya Trust, which is doing a phenomenal work with the underprivileged children. Karunya Trust is working towards empowerment of the poor children from rag pickers and HIV/AIDS infected families and from the tribal families in Maharashtra since 1998. One of its initiatives is Gyaansathi, a school for the rag picking children of Rafik Nagar, Govandi. In 2022 all its 21 Standard 10th students passed SSC. These kids are now the role models for other children in the area and encourage them to attend school. During COVID pandemic, Karunya trust provided support to families who lost their livelihood, and its focus has continued in the areas of education, healthcare and shelter. The vocational centre run by the trust at Gyaansathi is a source of income for many women. The funds raised by the trust thru TMM will be directly used for these objectives without any intermediaries. What started out as a small dream is now a force that is transforming the lives of many!
