While the objective of Isha Vidhya schools is to make quality education accessible and affordable to the rural poor; mine is to look into those innocent eyes and say "I am running for you". The schools presently have 6415 children, with approximately 3490 (60%) students on free education supported by donations under a scholarship program, while the rest pay a nominal fee. In 2018, 300 volunteers of Isha participated in the Mumbai Marathon and raised INR 12,655,050/= 2018-19 could be a landmark year as we are hoping to complete critical infrastructure aggregating about 2 crore including classrooms, compound walls, school buses, computers & sports equipment through Mumbai Marathon. In the current year, Isha Vidhya requires to build 11 classrooms, 19 school buses, provide for scholarships and support the 56 Government schools that have been adopted. Isha Vidhya schools are run largely by volunteers and hence cost of fund raising is very low (<2%). Every penny (rupee, dollar, euro,yen) you donate will be put to effective use and your donations will be recorded. I'm running for a cause, with you having my back!
