While the Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives significantly, it has had a much larger impact on the children of our country. Child protection concerns such as abuse & violence, child labour, child marriage, etc have skyrocketed as their vulnerable population is ill-prepared to survive the socio-economic fallout. Children’s education & health are being deprioritized by families who are struggling to cope with the health crisis & its economic aftershocks.

Childline India Foundation (1098 helpline) has been doing a tremendous job for Children during this period too. Their services are present in 600 of 735 districts through a network of over 11,000 child protection personnel, 6 call centres & 1,070 crisis response. From April 2020 to Mar 2021, Childline fielded over 50 lakh calls & provided assistance to 3.9 lakh children through emergency interventions. Of the children assisted, 1.6 lakh (40% of total) were provided Covid-19 assistance, and immediate relief with respect to essentials, food, medical support etc.

Your kind-hearted donations will go towards their Covid-19 budgets to meet the immediate needs of the child, logistics, oximeters, food, PPE kits, outreach, awareness building & advocacy.
