Education is the key to eradicating poverty and to creating future opportunities for children. Nowhere is this need more acutely felt than in rural India, where access to high-quality, affordable education is a challenge. Isha Vidhya schools are attempting to address this critical need, by providing quality and affordable education to rural children. They currently run 9 schools and have also adopted over 500 Government schools in Tamilnadu (TN) and Andhra Pradesh (AP) states, impacting over 72000 rural children. Isha Vidhya is run by a very large volunteer base, which ensures extremely low fund raising expenses (<5%). This ensures that over 95% of every rupee / dollar that you donate is put to effective use in educating these children, thereby directly shaping their future. I will be running the Tata Mumbai Marathon (42.2 km) on Jan 20, 2019, in support of Isha Vidhya. As in the past, I am reaching out to you for your generous support for this cause. We have all been blessed to receive quality education, which in turn created the opportunities to make us what we are today.
