My brother, Tarun is the inspiration behind MENTAID, a parent's organization (founded by my mother in 1986), the first of its kind in West Bengal, which evolved into a school, and now includes a vocational training centre for children with different abilities. At present there are 88 children and youngsters under their care 50% of which come from lower economic backgrounds. The funds raised through these efforts will go toward: 1) Infrastructural costs that will enable them to continue providing the services to the children and young adults during and after COVID-19 2) The on-going building project, which will help children and young adults who are mentally challenged even more.
