Hello,
As a kid, do you remember the joy and excitement of getting new storybooks and endless wait to share them with your friends? Well... not everyone is privileged enough to experience this joy.
Children are the future of the nation and foundation of our society. While every parent wants to have a bright future for their child, not all of them can afford sending their children to schools with best facilities. We all know Right to Education is basic right, but they should also enjoy the learning process. Since our childhood days, we were used to hear stories from our grandparents and read storybooks, these stories not only make learning more relatable but also builds morale values among the children. With this initiative and partnership with schools, NGO's and various organization across the city, they are able to impart lifelong learning and build morale values but also lay the foundation for a better society and bring joy to the learning experience.
Come join me in contributing towards this noble cause and make tangible difference towards a better society.
I am participating in TMM'24 Dream Run to contribute towards United Way Mumbai Let's READ campaign. I am looking forward for your support to achieve my fund-raising target of Rs.5,000/-
Support
the Let’s READ Campaign and make a difference!!
Let's READ is United
Way Mumbai's nationwide initiative, which aims to nurture a love for books and
reading among children who cannot afford access to books of their own. For
many children living in marginalized communities in India, owning a set of
books is a distant dream. We believe that every child should have the
opportunity to discover the wonder and joy of books.
Over the next few
months, United Way Mumbai will bring together NGOs, companies and citizens with
a heart to:
- Gift a set of 5
beautifully illustrated children's books to 10,000 children
- Gift 100 mini
libraries (comprising 125 books each) to NGOs working with children
from marginalized communities.
The books will be curated keeping in mind
the age, language proficiency and reading levels of the children. In addition
to gifting books and libraries, we will also
- Gift 100 mini
libraries (comprising 125 books each) to NGOs working with children
from marginalized communities.
- Conduct book
reading sessions by children's authors.
- Facilitate
workshops for NGO staff on reading skills and making books come alive for
children of all ages.
