There is not much of a profound reason for my involvement in social service; I'll have to admit, the simple fact is that it makes me happy. As people we are meant to help each other. I, like many others, am just using the resources available to me to make the world a better place, if just by a little bit. This effort is more than just a tick box : what is termed as "charity" for me is actually a "responsibility". All lives are created equally and so as someone born into privilege, it is mine, and yours', moral responsibility, not just as corporate readers or institutes or fundraisers, but as people, to try and provide individuals in need with the opportunities they never had.
