I enrolled in the Udayan Shalini Fellowship in 2018. USF has always been a huge supporting system for me and my family. If there wasn’t USF it would have been very difficult for my parents to provide me with further studies. During the lockdown, my father lost his job and had several health issues due to which until now he is not able to work. My mother and I both are working day & night to run our house and do savings for my further studies. USF has understood our situation and has been very helpful and kind to us from the very beginning until date. USF has supported me both mentally and financially. USF is a true blessing to my family and me. Over a period of time, USF has become a family to me, where I am supported, encouraged, motivated, loved and cared for. I believe in USF as much as I believe in myself. They have also given me a very humble mentor and a lady with a beautiful heart. She encourages me to pursue my dreams and has always guided and supported me in all my decisions. I can share my concerns with her without any hesitation. When I need any kind of emotional support she is the person I can turn back to. Her constant support has been a great boon for me and I'm really thankful for her. USF supports girls from financially weak backgrounds by providing financial support, life skills and employability workshops, mentoring, career counselling, providing internships, and also giving them a chance to do social work and give back to society. They provide various courses free of cost such as English-Bolo, Computer courses, Antarang Career Readiness program, Vision and Goal Setting and many more to build our skills and abilities. They also try to connect us to various known personalities, influencers, motivational speakers, entrepreneurs and counsellors to share their experiences and inspire us. USF tries their level best to provide selfless support to all of us without expecting anything in return. I am thankful to the USF family for always being there for me and supporting me in my career endeavours.
