When I was 9 years old, my fathers sister was diagnosed with stage 2 leukaemia. She flew to Boston a 2 weeks later in search for a treatment. Before this happened she had been a constant presence in my life, a role model I looked up to. For 1 and a half years she lived in Houston away from her 2 children only 3 years older than me. After 2 years of a aggressive treatment being completed, she unfortunately relapsed. This lead to her once more being forced to find a good treatment and leaving her family. She lost a lot more than what we saw as time and her health. I want to help better treatments in India and I want to support cancer patients that are suffering, so they can at least be with their families and the people they care about during this difficult time
