Established in 1969, Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) has a tradition of untiring service to needy cancer patients from all over India, and even neighboring countries like: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Pakistan. CPAA is an empathetic, reassuring, non-medical presence that has supported the treatment and overall needs of more than 3 lakh cancer patients. It is a registered charitable non-governmental organization (NGO) working towards the total management of cancer as a disease, which includes: spreading awareness on the dangers inherent in accepted social practices such as chewing of tobacco, early marriage, multiple pregnancies, etc, which are responsible for approximately 70% of cancers in India. CPAA aggressively fights cancer by initiating steps for the early detection of cancer since treatment at this stage leads to a cure in a majority of case along with providing complete assistance to cancer patients beyond that given by the medical profession. In 1995, CPAA became full UICC member.

About Me
'The obsession with running is really an obsession with the potential for more and more life''. I am running for the cause yet again this year. Whilst staying healthy and fit is common practice in our daily life and we run for fun, here is an opportunity to run for a cause. Out of many social evils faced in recent times, safety of women and children from violence and health hazards is of serious concern and every small effort to eradicate the same will be a blessing for our society. With this intent in my mind, I am supporting Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA)
