Mudita – An Alliance for Giving has been working in the philanthropic space for the past 6 years. It was started with the objective of building a bridge between donors and beneficiaries and continues to fulfil that purpose. Mudita’s work has been in key areas of Education, Medical treatment & Food security. Mudita works by way of 1. scholarships & mentoring of young people; 2. providing treatment cost along with medical counseling and support to those in need and the 3. distribution of dry ration kits to the underserved communities in & around Pune. All three of Mudita’s programs work towards allowing individuals to realise their true potential. Proceeds from the donations received towards this fund raiser will be used specifically for the Mudita Medical treatment program. Treatment cost can be a huge financial drain to even middle class families; often leaving individuals & families in severe debt in a time of crisis not to mention the emotional cost of the ailment. Supporting treatment cost for individuals will allow alleviating a part of the burden. Mudita medical treatment programs support those suffering from cancer as well as those in need of eye care surgeries. Mudita works in collaboration with hospitals, doctors as well as pharmacies to ensure the best treatment is provided at effective costs. Unlike other NGOs with a higher operating cost, close to 100% of individual donations received by Mudita are used directly for program cost.
