What's the worst crime that can be committed? No, not murder, torture, or physical violence, but rape and sexual abuse, namely, child sexual abuse. One might even argue, that this crime is a form of torture in itself, involves physical violence, and can often be a precursor to murder. Did you know that 50% of Indian children face abuse in India? HEAL(Help Eradicate Abuse through Learning) is one of the few NGOs working in this field since 2008. Through their awareness and sensitization workshops on child safety and bodily autonomy, they work to equip adults with the skills to recognize and deal with child sexual abuse and provide psychological care to survivors, as well as assistance in societal reintegration. We, the children of the Cathedral and John Connon School are honored to join this fight against one of the most horrible atrocities that can be committed. You too can be a part of our efforts.
