In my 15 years of life experience, I have heard various people say - 'Sharing is caring.' However, I realized, that most of us take this quote lightly. We must realize that not everyone is as privileged as us. I believe that every human deserves equal rights, facilities, and opportunities. A few days ago, Mr. Rahul Bose spoke to the students of our school and it was that day that I realized how big of a problem, child sexual abuse, child marriage, child labor, etc. is. I had no idea that 53% of children in India had to go through such trauma. Adding fuel to the fire, the effects of these acts of crime, have an even worse impact on the children and not only does their childhood remain scarred but also their future is lived in fear and insecurity. After being introduced to HEAL (Help Eradicate Abuse Through Learning), a Mumbai-based NGO working in the area of child sexual abuse since 2008, I have taken up the task to give all those who had a bleak youth, a bright future. This is not only a medium for me to provide to the ones in need but a medium for all people willing and keen to do so. I urge everyone to donate whatever amount they wish to help this cause. After all, what goes around comes around. Today if you help someone, tomorrow, someone will be there to help you.
