The HEAL Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization that have helped hundreds of thousands of Children deal with such an important issue in this world today. It is estimated that 1in 9 girls and and 1 in 53 boys face some form of sexual abuse before they turn 18 and this number is much worse in India. With an staggering 53 % of children facing some form of sexual abuse before they turn 18. HEAL is one of the very few organizations in India that is solely focused on such a drastic issue. HEAL has reached an Estimated 110,000 children and adults up till 2022. This is an Important Issue and together we can make a difference. I believe together we can help One Child in Need.
About Me
I am Noel Juby Chandy, a Grade 9 Student at Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. I am raising money for The HEAL Foundation by taking part in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2023. HEAL is an organization that helps vulnerable children who have faced abuse in one form or another, by educating children and adults how to identify, prevent and respond to sexual abuse that many children face and what to do in these situations. I am supporting this NGO because I strongly believe that no child should have to go through abuse and am glad to be supporting a foundation like HEAL that have helped thousands of children and I believe it is important to inform and educate society about this major issue.
