HEAL (Help Eradicate Abuse Through Learning) is a Mumbai-based NGO working in the area of child sexual abuse since 2008. It is estimated that nearly 50% of children in India face abuse. I have joined HEAL in their fight against child sexual abuse to raise money to enhance HEAL's reach to various schools and communities, and thus create an ecosystem which is safer for children. Any donations would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.
About Me
My name is Leah Divan and I am currently studying in the 12th grade at the Cathedral and John Connon School. Child sexual abuse is still extremely prevalent in India, but the problem is hardly talked about. HEAL through their awareness and sensitization workshops on child sexual abuse and body safety, aims to equip adults to recognize and deal with child sexual abuse, as well as help the survivors the best they can; and help the children integrate a sense of body safety and autonomy. I wish to be a part of this change and help in any way I can.
