Our aspiration to join the developed world is only possible with total transformation of the rural landscape. For over three decades, Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development - CORD, has been working tirelessly to change the ground realities in rural India by empowering rural communities to take charge of their lives & become masters of their destiny. We call this the power of self-help. CORD Services include Livelihood Enhancement in Farm & Allied Sector & Non-Farm Sector, Micro finance lending, Health, Nutrition & Sanitation care, Disability Inclusion & Management, Environment & Climate change initiatives etc. Every month, CORD impacts 60,000 individuals directly & 5.50 lakhs indirectly. The second cause I am supporting is Education which we at Chinmaya Mission believe has the power to empower, elevate & transform lives. Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (deemed to be university as per Indian government’s official categorization) offers globally accredited courses coupled with 21st century job skills & practical insights from Indian knowledge systems.
