This year we all are facing difficult situation due to Covid-19 pandemic has engulfed the entire world. Rapid spread and lack of vaccines has made it difficult to curtail the disease. As a safety measure, the Government of India announced a 5 week long national lockdown with an aim to flatten the curve. This decision was taken out of concern and wellbeing of our society at large. Amidst the lockdown, people who are affected the most are the daily wage earners or those living in vulnerable conditions who have no safety net to fall back on. Many of them are staring at starvation with rations running out. Though the Government is taking commendable measures to reach out to the vulnerable families, the need is immense. Hence every helping hand needs to be deployed to support these families in this time of crisis.
