Since the beginning of this term I have worked with the Jai Vakeel Foundation, which is a non-governmental organization that focuses on the upliftment of the intellectually disabled section of society. This experience that been highly educational and inspirational for me. Seeing these specially-abled children brought tears to my eyes. I worked in collaboration with these challenged kids and it gave me an entirely different perspective of the world. Although mentally challenged, these children possessed a unique and optimistic outlook on life that enabled them to approach each activity with an unparalleled enthusiasm. All in all, this experience has impacted me in more ways than I could possibly imagine.
