Teach For India is a nationwide movement spread across 7 cities - Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.
At Teach For India, we aim to bridge the gap of education inequity through our vision that one day, all children will attain an excellent education. Our mission is to build a movement of leaders to eliminate educational inequity. We work to achieve this by recruiting graduates and working professionals as promising leaders, and placing them in low-income schools and high-need communities across the nation for two years as Fellows. Our Fellows not only provide their students with a holistic and path-changing education, but also impact their schools and communities through targeted initiatives. During the Fellowship, our 1,000 Fellows understand the complexities of the education on the ground and grow as leaders, impacting more than 38,000 students on their path. As Alumni, they join a growing movement of 3,000 leaders who work at all levels of the system - in schools and communities, in school systems, and at the level of policy to end educational inequity. Today, more than 70% of the Alumni work in the education sector across schools, communities and the system.
