The entire world has been hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic. The number of cases & resultant deaths continue to increase exponentially in this global outbreak. This unforeseen situation has thrown lives out of gear, especially of the poor, homeless & daily wage earners who survive one day at a time. With no economic activity, their existence is threatened. Also, the community workers are serving the society at a risk to themselves & healthcare professionals are braving their lives while providing treatment to the coronavirus patients. Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC)responded to this grave situation by undertaking several impactful initiatives in India & abroad, aimed at providing safety & relief to individuals & communities. The norms of lockdown & social distancing were effectively adhered to in implementation of these initiatives. Following are some of the initiatives undertaken: 1. Support a Front liner 2. Monthly ration to a daily wager 3. Supplies and Equipment 4. Feeding Animals 5. Now, SRLC has initiated the Food for Travelling Migrants Programme providing cooked food, dry snacks, water, masks & hand santizers for those travelling by buses. It would take them days before they actual reach their home town & amidst the lockdown, food may not be available enroute.
