Sometimes, we never pause to reflect on how privileged we are, to receive the appropriate health care, medication and other facilities, that not everyone has. Over the decade, Mortality rates due to cancer have rapidly risen globally, most of which were cases which received only minimal, or no treatment at all. I believe, the least we could do to help with this crucial issue, is to contribute or donate for the treatment that most patients fail to get. The Nargis Dutt Foundation supports underprivileged groups for causes like these and annually raises funds for the same. Six cycles of chemotherapy, alone can cost up to rupees 20 lakh, this is why, even the smallest donation could bring us one step closer to helping these unfortunate families who can’t afford the medicaments that their lives depend on.
