Brief Facts about Cancer : Cancer is among the leading causes of death worldwide. In India, there were an estimated 1.45 million cases in 2016, which is expected to reach 1.75 million cases in 2020 (Gandhi,2017).
Cancer has also shown a significant variation with time and across geographical entities. As per international studies, between 1990 and 2016, the overall cancer incidence in Maharashtra has gone up from 55.5 individuals per lakh population in 1990 to 75.8/100000 in 2016 (India State-Level Disease Burden Initiative Cancer Collaborators, 2018).
I am supporting SRCC Children's Hospital, managed by Narayana Health, for raising funds for children from economically challenged backgrounds, who are suffering from cancer, as well as those needing bone marrow transplants. These children need chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, prostheses, and supportive care. The treatment is long term and expensive, creating a huge financial burden for their families.
SRCC Children's Hospital, managed by Narayana Health and SRCC Trust are supporting these children as we strongly believe - "No child should be denied medical treatment due to lack of financial support".
We seek your generous support to take this philanthropic journey to the next level. All funds collected will be duly utilized for our little ones who are fighting cancer.
Note 80G receipt will be issued by United Way Mumbai to all Indian donors and emailed to the email-id provided at the time of making the donation.
