Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024
The reason I chose to participate in the 2020 TATA Mumbai Marathon and support Women Empowerment is because till date a Women’s rights and opinions are not considered to be important. Nargis Dutt Foundation sets up sewing classes in villages and those who choose to learn are given free sewing machines at the end of the course. One of main reasons, I chose to support this cause is because since day one I have seen my grandmother find happiness and peace of mind in the art of stitching, the sewing machines will not only make these women independent and self- sufficient but will also help them feel safe and content. About Me
My name is Harprita Kedia, I am a student from grade 10 studying in C.P.Goenka International School. I chose to participate in the 2020 TATA Mumbai Marathon to raise funds for Women Empowerment. Realising how privileged you are is the first step towards making a difference, because that's when you stop finding faults in your life and start looking at the actual challenges around you, therefore I think this marathon gives me a chance not only to help others, but also to self-reflect.
