As Marcia Smith once said “Cancer is not a death sentence, but rather it is a life sentence; it pushes one to live.” Words alone cannot describe the pain, suffering and agony cancer causes to so many people across the world. It has no discrimination against color/age/race/rich/poor/gender/religion and indeed anyone is fair game and up against this cruel disease. On many occasions, lurking away for years in all parts of body only to surface and cause the most traumatic devastation to the person diagnosed and all their associated loved ones. But what cancer cannot do is that it cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It cannot corrode faith, It cannot destroy peace, It cannot kill friendship, It cannot suppress memories, It cannot silence courage, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot steal eternal life, It cannot conquer the spirit. I'm participating in the 2020 TATA Mumbai Marathon to raise funds for meritorious students from poor families. The Nargis Dutt Foundation is a registered NGO and is doing phenomenal work in the area of education and helping those who are in need. All donations are exempt under section 80 G of income tax, 1961. As Helen Keller once said ''Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much'', I would request you all to donate for those who are battling this disease everyday so we all can take a step to do something better for the world and for the humanity. Even a small change can make a big difference. Contact details: ipshita0209@gmail.com
