Amar Seva Sangam inmates Ms.Poovammal, Ms. Kanagalakshmi and Mr. Lakshmanan won Silver Medals in the National Wheelchair Basketball event held on 29th June 2019 in Chandigarh. This is the sample of our inmates skills set slowly extending in sports category also. All these boys and girls have been selected for special training conducted in Bangkok and Thailand and successfully completed their training venture sponsored by some private persons. In this connection we, Amar Seva Sangam would like to create a facility of Wheelchair Basketball court in our campus itself, so that all our inmates get proper training and perform better. We expect few of inmates may become eligible for international level sports meet of Abilympics also. The estimated cost of Wheelchair Basketball court is around Rs.35 lakhs and based on this platform this year Mumbai Marathon 2020, we are raising funds for this facility. I humbly request you to introduce some corporate or companies and likeminded persons in this regard. This help may go a long way not only they bring pride for our nation and also they will be able to get a Govt. job in sports quota.
