I believe that Education is the medium through which we can build our future. My teachers have been very helpful and encouraging. We have a big library filled with books, a computer lab where we learn how to use basic computer applications, coding and programming. In the science lab, we do practical experiments and in the resource room, we explore new topics and make interesting projects. We do 1 hour of physical activities every day which helps to build strength and stamina. We have 1 hour of art and music class every week which help us to channel our creativity in the right direction. I enjoy eating the school lunch as it is yummy and healthy! Our teachers also take us for a field trip every year. Through the field trips we have been to gardens, museums, aquariums and zoos. These visits help, bring to life the things we have learnt in class. We also celebrate all festivals in school. We prepare dance, skits and plays to spread awareness on the history and importance of the festivals. Once in a while, during celebrations we also get tasty sweets! I wish that all children could get the facilitates and opportunities that I am getting. My mother is happy as I can converse in English! I help the other children from my community to learn easy English words and phrases. I also teach them the correct technique to be used while throwing the ball when we play on the streets. I am raising funds for my school and am excited to be a part of the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2020.

About Me
I am Saraswati studying in Standard IX at the Santacruz (W) Municipal School. This school is managed by Aseema Charitable Trust and I am studying here since pre-primary. Maths is my favourite subject and I enjoy playing with numbers. I also enjoy sports. It is my dream to represent India at international forums in the sport of Judo! Sachin Tendulkar is my inspiration; his down to earth nature and devotion towards his game have inspired me. Through my school, I have participated in various competitions and have also won a silver medal at an Inter School BMC Judo Competition. Due to financial constraints, it was difficult for my parents to send me to a private school but I am happy at Aseema as I get the best facilities and opportunities.
