Let's make someone else's life better. The empowerment and autonomy of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status is a highly important end in itself. Rural women are key agents for development. They play a catalytic role towards achievement of transformational economic, environmental and social changes required for sustainable development. But limited access to credit, health care and education are among the many challenges they face. I’m participating in the 2020 TATA Mumbai Marathon to raise funds for women empowerment in rural Palghar. Through the project “Aashayein”, Nargis Dutt Foundation has empowered over 200 women and children with the skill of tailoring. This has made them self sufficient and has helped them earn an income. All donations are exempt under Section 80G of Income Tax 1961. No donation is too small.
