This fund raising is for Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's Disease is a neuro-cognitive disorder seen in elderly. It is caused by degeneration of brain cells and results in tremors, rigidity in body, involuntary movements, dementia, any various psychological symptoms. There is a lack of awareness of this disorder as it is seen in the elderly and hence it is often mistaken for other issues that come with old age. It is also often confused with epilepsy or Alzheimer. The aim of raising the funds is to put them to use in providing care for those suffering from this disorder and to spread awareness and reduce stigma that comes with the disease.
