"Doing good is a collective responsibility and we all truly want to live in a better world" – Anshu Gupta, Founder Goonj Goonj’s School to School initiative builds a relationship of empathy and dignity between urban and rural children, on two opposite sides of a big divide of resources and opportunities. Urban children learn to value their abundant resources as they become more aware about another India. Rural children learn about achievement as Goonj’s school material brings together all stakeholders; teachers, parents and the village community. The initiative intends to address the gaps and challenges in education by engaging key stakeholders from the cities to the grassroots and by using underutilized education material as a resource. FY 19-20 goal is to reach 1 Lac children in over 3000 schools and 2000+ villages. A Goonj School Kit is a carefully designed School bag of basic learning needs material. It’s made of recycled denim cloth. Inside it’s packed with a sitting mat, notebooks (old and new), stationery pouch, water bottle, lunch box, a toy, and some basic stationery. The items in the kit are dynamic and customized as per the need of the area. A school kit can be sponsored at a minimum cost of 700 rupees. - Rs.14,000/- will provide 20 school kits for rural children - Rs.7,000/- will provide 10 school kits for rural children -Rs.3,500/- will provide 5 school kits for rural children Your contribution matters!
