India’s still dealing with the lockdown as the country still faces a rising number of cases of infections with the COVID-19 coronavirus.
This NGO is supporting the needy in covid 19 by distributing lunch packets and St. Catherine’s also has a center in Murbad, located in the interior of Maharashtra, which has a large Tribal population, who are India’s marginalized indigenous population. Staff from the institute have been distributing relief materials to the Tribal families in Fangloshi village and neighboring towns.
Activities provide child friendly atmosphere with a with a view to rehabilitate the children and their families by giving them quality counselling and guidance through various projects. Education is support till the age of 22 while counselling is provided for children through happy feet Project and for parents counselling is provide through Happy Home Project to Come out of the traumas of abuse, poverty, Child labour etc.
The ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA PRE – PRIMARY, PRIMARY SCHOOL since the school is not funded by BMC. Children are provided free education, uniforms, school bags, etc. to motivate them to attend the school on regular basis. Education trips and picnic are provided free of charge to all children.
To run ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA ORPHANAGE since the orphanage has to provide children a friendly atmosphere to focus on better hygiene, behaviour, study skills, time management etc.
