Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Society, founded by Dr. B.S. Singhal (neuro physician) in 2001, is a registered NGO working for the patients of Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's Disease is a deliberating and progressive condition which usually affects people over the age of 60, however, this age is alarmingly decreasing and younger people are being affected as well.
This disease is not much spoken about although it is the second most common neuro degenerative disorder, mainly characterized by problems with body movements like rigidity, tremors and slow movements as well as psychological difficulties which alters the normal life of the patients and their families.
To improve the quality of life for the patients and their caregivers, they organise free of cost rehabilitative services through our community based support groups including medication and different kinds of rehabilative therapies like physiotherapy, counselling, creative therapies etc required for the same.
