I humbly appeal that you support the Amar Seva Sangam (ASSA) in order to be a building block in helping India and the people of India build strong foundations no matter the unforeseen adversity. ASSA provides mentally challenged children with free special education, vocational training, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. My experience working with the "Sangamam School" children was so precious and I learnt so much from the positivity of the students and teachers, and through further funding, they will be able to see even more success. Sangamam means integration and the work diligently with the students to ensure that as they grow older they are able to manage and thrive in everyday society. ASSA provides physically challenged students with housing, food, medical help, and vocational training all free of charge! The Spinal Cord Injured Post-Acute Care Centre provides care in the form of therapy and training to economically disadvantaged patients who have suffered severe spinal injuries. One of the most recent and most exciting developments is the Early Intervention Centre which provides physiotherapy and occupational therapy to young children and starts intervention at an earlier stage in order to assure greater success in their endeavours in the future. ASSA has been participating in the Tata Mumbai Marathon for the past 15 years and will be engaging in 2020 for further development of the "Early Intervention for Children" project.
