As most of us know, NUTRITION is needed for growth, repair, providing energy, and protects us from disease and infection. Nutrition in case, not provided in adequate quantity can lead to severe malnutrition. In case of infants, two major illness caused due to malnutrition are Kwashiorkar and Marasmus. Therefore the government should provide vitamin supplements, as deficiency in vitamins and mineral can cause disease such as rickets muscular cramps, soft bones, increase irritability of the nervous system, skin problems, anemia, pernicious anemia, albinism, dental decay etc. All of the above stated physiological ailments are largely prevalent among children residing in underprivileged conditions.
