I came home from a normal day at school when I was 10 years old and saw my mom bald, my heart skipped a beat and I was sure there was something terribly wrong as she had been falling very ill since a month and was even hospitalised .I asked her if she was dying and she broke the news of her cancer to me. I was devastated and wanted to do any and everything I could to make sure she survives .When I accompanied her to Tata memorial hospital for her treatment I was taken aback to see so many children waiting for funds to start their treatment.I decided that day that I would do my own small bit for this Institute that works round the clock for cancer patients from all across India.I have been associated with the IMPACCT FOUNDATION, which is the Paediatric Foundation of Tata Memorial Hospital, since the last four years and have raised funds for the complete treatment of over 24 children .I chose IMPACCT because of their dedication to work for each child irrespective of his cast ,colour or religion and the effort that the doctors, nurses and the Impacct Foundation members put in each day with the children is very humbling. They believe"Each child with cancer deserves the best chance at cure"-please do help me towards my cause for raising funds for this foundation-a small contribution from your side(which could be the money you spend on a dinner or a movie) can help save a child's life.
