In India, lack of opportunity is one of the biggest challenges to inclusion that keeps people locked in unending cycles of poverty generation after generation. This issue concerns me greatly and hence I have decided to run for a group of Mumbai Mums who have found a unique solution for this problem.
Angel Xpress Foundation, a 12 A and 80G certified NGO has successfully used Mumbai's geography wherein slums and high rises coexist across the city and its plentiful public spaces to create a citizens movement to support education for the poor by promoting and enabling effective volunteerism.
It is estimated that between 40 to 50% of the educated women from India's burgeoning affluent middle class, choose to not have careers or give up careers once they have children.
Every day, nearly 2000 underprivileged children are led towards a better future, by over 500 passionate volunteers at Angel Xpress Foundation. At just 2 hours per week, at parks right next to their homes, they get to earn great Karma by changing lives and creating a better tomorrow. Fantastic bargain, I think. That’s why this Tata Mumbai Marathon, I am running for them and earning some brownie points. I strongly suggest you get moving too. What say?

Your support and generosity is much appreciated!
