My Basti Siddharth Nagar situated in the famous Taj city Agra. It is densely populated and less fortunate in light of public facilities. Since 2011 I am a member of Adarsh children group facilitated by UHRC. Through our group, we are doing many activities which helps to increase our self confidence and negotiation skills. UHRC facilitate us by organizing sports days, hand washing activities, quiz session and rally etc. We visit places outside our basti and also outside our city with UHRC's support and learn a lot, perform street plays (nukkad natak) at famous locations in Agra to raise social issues before the general public. We also done our monthly meetings, write applications for paving roads, getting uninterrupted electricity, clean drinking water and toilet facilities. After associating with Urban Health resource centre we learn many skills, got new exposers which helps to develop me as a bright youth for future. Women's groups promoted by UHRC help slum families to continue their children’s education, to repay their old high interest debts, to fulfill their regular family based needs. I wish to support uhrc's these noble cause by participating in Tata Mumbai marathon 2019 so that many more children and youths like me get benefited and develop an best citizen of India who could contribute in nation's welfare.
