I am supporting this cause because I want to ensure that people in India can have a good standard of living and that each person can have an equal opportunity in life. According to the government of India, India has a poverty level of around 21.9 percent, more specifically, Mumbai has one of the most poverty dense regions in India. With the money donated, the people of Mumbai can have access to proper education, clean food, health care, and most importantly, clean access to drinking water. Since there are numerous amounts of water-borne diseases that have long term effects such as birth defects, Giardia, and even death, access to clean water can help alleviate these problems. If we can help Mumbai first, then the rest of India will be the stepping stone into a larger campaign of helping people.
Indeed, these changes do not happen over night, so if everyone can donate some amount of money, it will be greatly appreciated for the people who desperately need it.
