WHAT ARE CHARITY BIBS ?
Charity Bibs are opportunities for individuals to secure participation at the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon (SCMM) 2017, especially if they have missed the registration date or have been unable to qualify for the marathon. NGOs listed with us have a fixed number of charity bibs available with them. These bibs are unique as they can be used for any race category a participant wishes to participate in and are available at a premium with these NGOs.
Top 70 NGOs have a higher allocation of bibs depending on the funds they collected in the previous SCMM. All other NGOs are eligible to a total of 10 charity bibs (subject to availability).
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE CHARITY?
As and when charities register with United Way Mumbai they would be listed here. Each charity organisation has an independent page which enlists their work, years of operation, contact details of relevant persons and charity bib availability status.
WILL THE NGOs HAVE HALF MARATHON BIBS?
NGOs will have charity bibs that can be used for the Half Marathon, though they are limited in number.
NGOs in the Top 70 list are eligible for 8 non-timed Half Marathon bibs + 2 timed Half Marathon bibs
All other NGOs are eligible for 4 non-timed Half Marathon bibs + 2 timed Half Marathon bibs.
HOW DO I OBTAIN A CHARITY BIB?
First, an individual needs to decide which cause and registered NGO they wish to support. Once this is decided, interested runners will have to directly connect with the desired charity organisation to secure a bib. The contact details of registered NGOs will be available on our website.
I WANT TO RUN, BUT THERE ARE NO CHARITY BIBS AVAILABLE
If you wish to run for a cause and find that there are no more bibs available, you can still avail of UWM's fundraising pages to secure a charity bib, by following a few simple steps:
