Project Description
Early Learners Development Programme (ELDP) aims at providing training and education to early learners in the age group of 3 to 6 enrolled in Anganwadis in Wada taluka of Palghar district. The programme bulds capacity of AW workers to act as facilitators of Early Child Education (ECE) in their AWs. The funds are utlised for training of AW workers and providing teaching and learning material to aid ECE.

Impact
ELDP has reached to more than 500 children and 271 AW workers and 225 AW helpers till date since its inception on annual basis. The programme is on hold since the Lockdown due ot COVId crisis since March 2020. Efforts were made to distribute learning kits to children under it coverage to continue their learning.

Project Description
Learning Space Foundations runs Early Learners' Development Programme ( ELDP) in rural/ tribal taluka of Wada in Palghar district. The programme intervenes in the area of Early Child Education (ECE) with a vision to create and improve the learning opportunities for rurahildren between age of 3-6. ELDP impacts 6000 children in 271 village pre-schools ( Agnanwadis). It is building capacities of 271 Anganwadi workers and 229 Anganwadi helpers through continuous skill development programme in ECE. It provides livelihood opportunities to 25 young rural youth ( females between age of 20-30 ) to facilitate the training and field support.
The programme has shown high level of impact in skills of Anganwadi workers and learning outcomes of children under the project.
