Project Description | In 1996, after the Latur earthquake, The PRIDE India launched its flagship project, SPARSH (Sastur Project of Action Research Services through Hospital), to deliver quality primary healthcare to rural impoverished people in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra State's Osmanabad and Latur districts. Today it is a 50-bedded sub-district hospital with high specialty facilities providing primary healthcare impacting lives of 1,65,000 people annually. Approximately 215 villages of Osmanabad District, 75 villages of Latur District, 20 villages of Solapur District and 25 villages of Gulbarga District access the health services from this hospital. |
