Project Description | Project Anando was initiated in 2005 to address the issue in school-dropouts at secondary school who are in the age group of 11-18 years. This is a major challenge concerning the very future of children in rural India as secondary education is a link between elementary higher education and for vocational-education. Our goal is not just literacy but all around development of each and every child through our 3E Approach (EDUCATE, EMPOWER and EQUIP for employability) leading to our beneficiaries taking life changing decisions by choosing appropriate career paths further leading them to become responsible citizens. We identify children through schools, community counseling sessions, in-depth work with parents & teachers to understand & solve the child's issues. We reinstate them in schools by providing education material, weekend empowerment workshops and special coaching on difficult subjects. Through it’s an ongoing effort our organization is looking at building a generation of youth who are literate, confident and knowledgeable of the world in which they live. Children who are able to make effective career choices that make them and their families’ financially independent. We have directly reached out to 12627 children and indirectly to 108739 lives totally touching 121366 lives. |
