Raising Funds For

Our flagship employment training program that we execute from our Santacruz Center is now rechristened Inhouse Training. This includes training of adults across the spectrum, trained for employment in any of the 6 sectors- F&B, hospitality, multiplex, retail, corporate or tailoring.

The pandemic compelled Mann to upload its curriculum on a cloud platform for online delivery to its trainees. Mann’s structured curriculum, developed in-house by special educators, simplifies the job of a trainer immensely by enabling goal setting, tracking and automated reporting against each trainee’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Once the effectiveness of the curriculum was ascertained, we decided to share the curriculum with other NGOs.

Thus our TTT Partnership program came into being with Mann sharing its curriculum free of cost with other NGOs with a common mission. We train their trainers to use and administer our curriculum to their trainees. Partnership is a great way to accelerate impact to new geographies and enable meaningful employment for IDD adults anywhere in India. As of March’ 23, Mann has partnered with 17 orgs and trained their trainers. This year, Mann will support 11 of these organizations that have progressed to the next stage of employment training and placements of their graduates.

An additional development in FY23-24 is Mann Subcenters. Some partners prefer that Mann executes the training at their premises. This is a win-win for Mann and the partner- Mann can grow its impact without space constraints in Mumbai city and the partner brings to its trainees Mann’s training and employment program. 4 Mann Subcenters are planned this year, where the partner will provide the premise and students, and Mann will bring the trainers, raw materials, curriculum etc.

Fund Utilization in 2023

Total funds raised in 2023 - INR 209500

Project NameMann's Partnership Program
Amount Utilized (INR)209500
Project DescriptionMann’s goal is to impact 5000 IDD adults each year by 2027. We identified NGO Partnerships as an effective route to accelerate growth and maximize impact.

Sharing our training curriculum with partner NGOs would enable Mann to get access to a large existing student base. Online training would also eliminate the geographical constraint of operations in Mumbai’s western suburbs and widen Mann’s impact to any part of the city, state or country.

While there are hundreds of NGOs all over India doing great work in the disability space, and have similar challenges related to training resources, finances etc. Here is a chance to collaborate and grow together. Mann’s strength lies in its curriculum and mainstream employment capacity. Mann is providing the curriculum and training at no cost to partner nonprofits. The benefit for the NGO Partner is free capacity building for their staff, and access to a curriculum and tracker which they can adapt to each individual’s needs. Our partnership objective is to accelerate Mann’s impact and create livelihoods for as many PwIDDs as possible within a short time frame.

Beneficiary DescriptionMann's curriculum is housed on a cloud Zoho platform and called the IEP Tracker. The tracker has been made in partnership with industry experts. For example, the skills of the hospitality industry have been worked on with the Marriott team, INOX helped us with the task in the multiplex industry. The roles have been then mapped, broken down into achievable tasks for the adults. Digitalization of our curriculum was accelerated due to the necessity of online training during the pandemic and was actively encouraged and supported by our well-wishers. This IEP Tracker can be imagined as a large canvas from which a special education trainer can pick and choose topics and create an individualized education plan for each trainee. The tool then allows the trainer to set long term and short term goals, and breaks down tasks to the simplest instructions. It enables the trainer to track the student's progress against these goals. Automated reports are generated that save the trainer a lot of documentation time. And anyone including trainers, coordinators, parents, or counselors are able to check on the student's progress at any point in time.
ImpactMann has tied up with and trained 17 NGO partners so far. We impart training based on the NGOs needs and the potential for mainstream jobs in the geography. The tie-up could be for training for mainstream jobs or Karmann production.

Most of the above partner engagements are in the phase of training their students. A few early partners are ready for the employment training phase. In 23-24, Mann will be training 11 orgs on employments.
