| Project Description | EDUCATION:
NAB Department of Education has been promoting Integrated Education Programmes for Visually Impaired (V.I.) Children in different parts of the country including major cities like Mumbai, Solapur, Bhopal, Faridabad, Varanasi, Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, Shrinagar, etc. The department is trying to reach to promote the education of the visually impaired students in rural areas nearby to these major cities in collaboration with local voluntary agencies for the past three and a half decades.
DEPARARTMENT OF WOMEN EMPOWERMENT:
For Socio Economic Rehabilitation & Empowerment of visually impaired Women the NAB Department of Women’s Empowerment was established in the year 1988. Since its inception till date, thousands of visually impaired Women have learnt and started earning through successful Self Employment. Pre-Employment Counselling & training is imparted to the clients. Enterprising Visually challenged candidates are self-employed on Home Bound Projects and other Entrepreneur activities. The main goal of the program is to enhance the all-round development of the Visually Challenged Women to live a dignified life through inclusion and help them take up self-employment opportunities as suited to them. |
